Military Appreciation Night & Team Poster Giveaway Highlight Weekend Event's in Flint

The Flint Firebirds return home to the newly renovated Dort Federal Event Center for a pair of games this weekend in Flint, Mich. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (ET) Friday Nov. 11 vs. the Peterborough Petes and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 vs. the Windsor Spitfires. Saturday is the only 2 PM matinée game of the Firebirds season.

Friday, join us for our annual Military Appreciation Night. The Firebirds will be hosting the Peterborough Petes and complimentary Silver Level tickets are available for all veterans and active duty military personnel. Discounted tickets at $10 are available for family members who accompany the veterans and active duty military personnel.

There will also be a 10% military discount for Firebirds' spirit wear at the merchandise store throughout the game. Brigadier General, Michael A. Stone of the Michigan Army National Guard will conduct the ceremonial puck drop. Additionally, fans will see a live 'swearing in' ceremony on the ice, a Color Guard ceremony prior to puck drop, and an on-ice shoot-out during the 1st intermission between all five military service branches. Military vehicles will be on display and a special co-branded military t-shirt will be featured on the arena concourse with all proceeds benefitting the Firebirds' Foundation, a major sponsor of the event.

Saturday is Hurley Hospital and Grand Blanc High School Night featuring a Firebirds' team poster give-away to the first 2,000 fans. The Firebirds host the Windsor Spitfires and game time is 2 p.m! The GBHS Drumline and Cheerleaders will be performing to enhance the game night experience. Additionally, fans can stay after the game to get autographs and interact with their favorite Firebirds in the arena lobby immediately following the game.

Fans can take advantage of the 'Firebirds 4 Pack,' featuring four silver level tickets, four hot dogs, four medium sodas, four game programs and four pom poms. A value of $106 for $64. Single game tickets for the Flint Firebirds 2016-17 season are $12 for Bronze, $15 for Silver, $19 for Gold and $25 for VIP seating.
