Mike Lahoud and Chivas USA Team up to Raise Money for Schools in Sierra Leone with Charity Bowling

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, April 21st, 2011) - Chivas USA midfielder Michael Lahoud and the club's charitable organization, Fundación Chivas de Corazón USA, will help raise money toward the building of a school in Sierra Leone, Africa, with the First Annual Bowling Extravaganza on Sunday, May 1 at the Lucky Strike Lanes in Torrance. Lahoud, a native of Sierra Leone, is working with the charitable organization Schools for Salone to raise money for this cause.
A campaign called "Building Dreams with Mike" has brought Chivas USA and Mike Lahoud in contact with Schools for Salone, a non-profit organization committed to helping the people of Sierra Leone rebuild rural schools destroyed in that country's ten-year civil war. The charity Bowling Extravaganza officially kicks off the club's "Building Dreams with Mike" fundraising campaign for the 2011 season.
Fans can show their support for the children of Sierra Leone by attending the First Annual Bowling Extravaganza, an event which will include a silent auction and a raffle. All donations are tax deductible and will greatly assist in efforts to rebuild schools in Sierra Leone.
