Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
The Mighty Mussels return home Tuesday to begin a six-game series with the Clearwater Threshers at Hammond Stadium.
RHP Travis Adams (4-5, 3.30) is set to start for the Mighty Mussels, opposed by RHP Starlyn Castillo (0-1, 9.00) of the Threshers.
Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on the Mighty Mussels Baseball Network.
MUSSELS TAKE TAMPA FINALE WITH HRs
The Mighty Mussels slugged three home runs in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Tampa Tarpons, snapping a four-game losing skid at Steinbrenner Field. Carlos Aguiar hit two of the dingers, and has now connected on four over his first 16 games. Sunday's series finale was rained out, so the Mussels enter Tuesday's series on two days of rest.
RETURN OF THE THRESHERS
The Mighty Mussels clash with the Clearwater Threshers (PHI) for the fourth and final time this week. The Mussels have dominated the season series 10-4 thus far. Clearwater carries only four active ranked prospects into Hammond Stadium:
