Norfolk Admirals News Release
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â The Norfolk Admirals are pleased to announce that the United States Navy Mid-Atlantic Morale, Welfare And Recreation Department has purchased 225 season tickets for the 2002-2003 season.
"We couldn't be happier with the support that the Navy has shown with this purchase," stated Admirals' Director of Operations Todd McKeating. "Our organization has always tried to show our gratitude to the Navy and all our Armed Forces with special promotions and discounts, and they have shown us their appreciation. The relationship the Admirals have built with them will only continue to grow stronger. This is exactly the kind of community support that will help the longevity of Admirals hockey in Hampton Roads."
"Taking care of people is what MWR is all about," said Captain George Koucheravy, Commanding Officer, Naval Support Activity. "The arrangement between the Navy and the Norfolk Admirals is one way that allows MWR to provide the community support system that makes the navy bases in the Mid-Atlantic Region feel like temporary hometowns for a mobile navy."
The 225 season seats bring the total, to date, to 1,780 season tickets sold for the 2002-03 campaign.
The Admirals' season ticket drive continues. In addition to full season ticket packages, 10- and 20-game packages are also available. To purchase or renew season tickets or partial packages for the 2002-03 season, call the Admirals office at (757) 363-1900 or visit the Admirals office at 1300 Diamond Springs Road, Suite 101 in Virginia Beach.
