Miami FC News Release

MIAMI, Fla. - Sept. 6, 2016 - After nearly 10,000 fans came out to support the Miami FC in its last home match, the Club looks to maintain that momentum when it returns to FIU Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 14 to host the Carolina RailHawks. Gates open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at MiamiFC.com/Tickets or the FIU Stadium box office.

In honor of Mexico's independence, the Miami FC is celebrating with Mexican Heritage Night. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Miami FC Mexican Heritage t-shirt and mini Mexico flags while supplies last.

The Miami FC is also honoring the city's local heroes. All first responders can purchase a ticket for $1 with their ID at the FIU Stadium Ticket Office.

Entertainment will be at the forefront once again, starting off early as fans are invited to the #DADEBRIGADE Tailgate outside of Gate 5 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature great food, music, and $3 Corona and Modelo Especial beers. Fans can also participate in a number of fun activities and games while they celebrate the Miami FC, the beautiful game and each other.

Once inside FIU Stadium, all fans are invited to take advantage of the Miami FC Happy Hour between 7 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. featuring $3 beers and $2 hot dog/soda combos - the best deal in professional sports! We will also have a live Mariachi band performing up until kickoff on the North Concourse.

All the pre-game excitement will get fans ready to cheer their team on the pitch against the Carolina RailHawks, led by El Tri legend, Omar Bravo. These two sides have met twice this season with nothing to separate them. The first meeting ended in a 0-0 draw thanks to a heroic effort by goalkeeper Daniel Vega. The second meeting was a polar opposite seeing six total goals. After the Miami FC took an early 2-1 lead, Carolina stormed back to go ahead 3-2 with 10 minutes to play. Striker Jaime Chavez would score his second goal of the match just before the whistle blew to secure a 3-3 draw.

Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats at halftime for some Knockerball action. They can now sign up for a chance to be on the field and compete in the Knockerball halftime game. For more information and to register click HERE.

After the game, the first 100 fans at Autograph Alley can meet some of their favorite Miami FC players.
