
Mfiondu Kabengele Named NBA G League Player of the Week

PORTLAND, ME - The NBA G League today announced that Maine Celtics Two-Way Player Mfiondu Kabengele has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played March 20-25.
Kabengele led the Celtics to two critical wins last week, helping Maine secure its first playoff berth since 2017. In two games, Kabengele averaged 27.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 72.4% (21-29) from the floor. The Maine big man has recorded seven consecutive double-doubles.
Kabengele is the first Maine player to earn Player of the Week honors this season. In 42 games with the Celtics, Kabengele is averaging 19.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
Kabengele and the Celtics will face Cleveland in the First Round of the NBA G League Playoffs on Wednesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at the Portland Expo. Tickets for Wednesday's home game are on sale now and available for purchase by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
