St. Lucie Mets News Release

The St. Lucie Mets have announced they have partnered with the Children Services Council of St. Lucie County to host the Slide into Reading program for students during the 2013 season.

The programs allows children the opportunity to receive a voucher for two tickets to a St. Lucie Mets game at Tradition Field if they finish reading a select number of books.

The program is designed to reward students in a reading challenge.

Children will have their progress tracked and can color in a base each time they finish a book. They will reach their goal once each base is colored and when they hit a home run.

The kindergarten through second grade students can reach their goal by finishing 10 books while students from third through eighth grade are required to finish 14 books.
