March 21, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Mississauga MetroStars News Release

?The Mississauga MetroStars complete the home portion of their 2018/19 MASL schedule Friday with a return match against Eastern Division rivals Utica City FC at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

The MetroStars (4-15) are coming off an impressive 9-3 road win over that same Utica team last Sunday, the first victory of the season for Mississauga away from home. Forward Mo Babouli led the team with 3 goals and 2 assists, including the game winner in the third quarter. Shaq Agard added a pair of goals while Shawn Brown, Darren Chambers, Damion Graham and Jarred Philips all netted singles. Goalkeeper Adrian Becic made 13 saves to record the win.

? ?His 5-point effort earned Babouli a spot as a substitute in the MASL Team of the Week for Week 16. Head Coach Rick Titus was also named to the MASL Team of the Week.

? ?The loss to Mississauga was only the second home defeat of the season for Utica City FC (13-6), which now shares the Eastern Division lead with the Baltimore Blast. Both teams have already clinched a spot in the MASL playoffs. Mauricio Salles had a goal and an assist for Utica in the loss to the MetroStars.

? ?This will be the fifth matchup this season between Mississauga and Utica City FC. Prior to last Sunday, UCFC had won each of the three previous meetings.

? ?The MetroStars face Utica City FC Friday, March 22 on Fan Appreciation Night at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre with kickoff set for 7:35pm (EDT). The game can be live streamed on MASL.tv at MASLsoccer.com.
