Mesquite Outlaws Lose to Dallas Sidekicks 5-4

ALLEN, TEXAS - The Mesquite Outlaws put up a tough fight against the Dallas Sidekicks, but ultimately failed  in the last quarter losing by one point, 5-4. Attendance at the game was 2,290.

The Sidekicks dominated the first half of the game knocking in one goal per quarter. In the first quarter forward Victor Almendariz scored, followed by a goal second quarter by midfielder Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade. The Outlaws were able to score one goal in the first quarter by midfielder Jorge Deleon.

The second half started with a goal from the Mesquite Outlaws forward VcMor Eligwe assisted by Rio Ramirez. Followed by another goal by Outlaws forward Jamie Lovegrove assist by Cody Ellis in the fourth quarter. Blue card was issued to Outlaws goalkeeper Pollo Cortes for tripping in the fourth quarter which lead to a shootout, Cortes was able to save the goal. The Sidekicks were able to come back in the fourth quarter after the Outlaws took the lead to win the game.

The Outlaws next game will Youth Soccer Night, is powered by Hummel  the first 500 kids 16 and under will receive a free Hummel Mini ball. The game be played at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 29 in the Mesquite Arena, 1818 Rodeo Drive, Mesquite, TX, against the Monterrey Flash. Tickets are available at mesquiteoutlaws.com.
