Meregildo Homers in Senators' 7-5 Win

In their first game back from the break, the Senators beat the Altoona Curve 7-5. The win snapped the Sens five-game losing streak. The Senators scored in six of the eight innings they batted in. Harrisburg had a hit in every inning but the seventh though they did have a base runner in the seventh on a walk.

Ronald Herrera went six innings for the win. He allowed two runs on four hits while striking out six and walking one. At one point he retired nine of ten batters. Andrew Lee followed and struck out the first three batters he faced. In the eighth inning, he allowed the bases to become loaded with two outs and was relieved by Zach Brzykcy. Brzykcy allowed a three-run double but was able to finish the eighth. In the ninth he allowed a single but finished off the game to earn his fifth save with the Senators.

Omar Meregildo led the Senators hit parade with three hits. He homered and had an RBI single in his first game with the Senators this season. Andrew Young singled, doubled and drove in a run. Rudy Martin singled, doubled, and scored a run. Israel Pineda doubled in his Double-A debut and scored two runs. Wilson Garcia hit a two-run home run that proved to the difference in the game.

With their two home runs, the Sens have homered in eleven straight games. Harrisburg went 4-for-16 with runners in scoring position. They were errorless for the 51st time this season. They're seven and nine against Altoona this season.
