
Mercer County Invests in ARM & HAMMER Park for 25th Season and Beyond

Headed into the 25th Season of play at ARM & HAMMER Park, the Thunder and Mercer County are pleased to announce several substantial ballpark improvements for the 2018 season.
The culmination of multiple projects at the ballpark will be completed in time for Opening Day on Thursday, April 5 when the Thunder host the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
"The Trenton Thunder not only provide outstanding family-oriented entertainment in a first-class setting, as our Hometown Team, the Thunder's longstanding presence strengthens our community and economy," said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes. "Just as the team and its management have uplifted Mercer County for a quarter-century, it is our desire to invest in the organization so that it may continue to attract record crowds create memories for generations to come," he added.
"For 25 years and counting, we at the Trenton Thunder could not have a better partner than Mercer County," said Thunder Team President, Joe Finley. "Starting with County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and working everyday alongside Mercer County Park Executive Director Aaron T. Watson and the Mercer County Park Commission, Mercer County has been an integral part of the success of the Thunder and we are thrilled to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary season with our partners at Mercer County."
New seats were installed at ARM & HAMMER Park during the 2017 season and this year, fans will enjoy an ease of access to their seats with the installation of brand new railings throughout the seating bowl. The Thunder previously announced the extension of backstop netting at the park following recommendations from Major League Baseball.
The installation of railings also included several improvements to the concrete structures in the seating bowl and on the main concourse.
A state of the art HVAC system has also been installed in The Berkshire Bank Luxury Suite Level at ARM & HAMMER Park, which has long been one of the most popular hospitality areas at the ballpark.
25 seasons of affordable, family-friendly entertainment continues in 2018 with the Family Fun Zone featuring inflateable games, decorative lights, a giant four-in-a-row, and on select nights balloon twisters and face painters.
Your Thunder, presented by NJM Insurance, will begin the 2018 season, the 25th in franchise history, on Thursday, April 5 when they host the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants).
