Memphis 901 FC's Bruno Lapa Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

Memphis, Tenn. - The USL Championship announced Tuesday Memphis 901 FC midfielder Bruno Lapa was named to the league's Team of the Week for Regular Season Week 8.

Lapa scored twice against his former club as the Beale Street Boys turned in a dominant 3-0 victory over Birmingham Legion FC on the road. The midfielder completed 32 of his 39 passes on Saturday and leads the club in shots on goal this season.

Tyler Deric and Lucas Turci were also named as honorable mentions. Deric delivered a six-save shutout on his 100th USL Championship Regular Season appearance while Turci scored a spectacular volley goal on his only shot of the match and completed 50 passes.

Memphis 901 FC returns home on Saturday, May 4 as they host Tampa Bay Rowdies on Star Wars Day at AutoZone Park. Tickets for the 3 p.m. CT kickoff are available on the club's official website.
