Memphis 901 FC News Release

Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis 901 FC played Detroit City FC to a scoreless draw at AutoZone Park on Saturday night to extend their regular season unbeaten streak to ten games, the longest in club history.

The Beale St. Boys have not suffered a regular season loss since their second match of the season on March 18.

Memphis held most of the possession in the first half and grabbed plenty of the chances on goal but couldn't find a way to put the ball in the back of the net.

The closest chance came in the 29th minute when Rodrigo da Costa made a spectacular pass through to Nighte Pickering, who picked the ball up with only the keeper to beat but put the shot just wide of the far post.

The second half proved to be a back-and-forth affair with 901 FC knocking on the door most of the period. Memphis fell just short on a few big chances and goalkeeper Drew Romig came up with another strong performance with three saves in the shutout.

Memphis moved to 6-2-4 and 5-0-1 in their last six matches. 901 FC was held scoreless for the first time this season. The Beale St. Boys were the only club in the USL Championship yet to be shutout before tonight's match.

Memphis continues their three-match homestand on Wednesday, June 21 as the club hosts FC Tulsa at AutoZone Park with a 7 p.m. CT kickoff.
