
Mechanics win sixth straight with a 2-1 win over the Komets

FRASER, MI-The Mechanics take care of business and score both goals in the first period as they win tonight 2-1 over the Komets at the Great Lakes Sports City.
Both goals were power play goals by Vlad Serov, as he netted his 19th and 20th goals of the season. Chris Gignac assisted on both goals along with Mike Burgoyne and David Herring.
The Komets would cut the lead in half at 9:15 off of a Kelly Miller goal, however, the Mechanics would hold on to the lead and win 2-1.
Rod Branch made his 61st appearance and won his 33rd game of the year my making 32 saves.
The Mechanics return home Friday as the Mechanics welcome the Flint Generals and the Hanson Brothers, face-off is 7:30 PM. On Saturday the Mechanics are in Port Huron and Sunday the Mechanics return home to face the Muskegon Fury, face-off is 5:00 PM.
