FRASER, MI.- March 22, 2006- The Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce that the St Patrick's Day Jersey Auction held on March 17th raised over $11,000 for Solid Ground, Inc.
Fans watched an exciting nail biter against the Adirondack Frostbite, which ended in a shootout win for the Mechanics. After the game, the players proudly sported their green jerseys on stage and tried to up their bids by putting on quite a show for fans who attended. In coordination with other agencies, organizations and individuals, Solid Ground, Inc. addresses the problems of homelessness in Macomb County with an emphasis on families with children, the elderly or disabled individuals.
Tonight is Ladies Night at the Garage as the Mechanics play the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30pm. This Friday night the Mechanics take on the Flint Generals at 7:30pm. The Hanson Brothers will be in town on Friday, ready to make their presence known throughout the game! This Sunday the Mechanics battle the Muskegon Fury at 5pm.
