McPherson to appear in studio for AFL on NBC
May 27, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Albany/Indiana Firebirds News Release
INDIANAPOLIS â Indiana Firebirds quarterback, and the league's front-runner for Rookie of the Year honors, Adrian McPherson will be the in-studio guest for the AFL on NBC halftime and post-game shows this Sunday, May 30th. McPherson will join Al Trautwig and Glenn Parker for analysis and discussion regarding all of the AFL match-ups that day, as well as the experiences he had playing his first season of arena football.
Locally, Indianapolis residents will be treated to the Chicago Rush (11-4) game versus the Colorado Crush (10-5), in Denver, CO. Kickoff is set for 2:00 (CT) and Chicago is playing for a possible #1 overall seed in the 2004 playoffs. If Colorado knocks off the Rush, and Arizona defeats San Jose, than the Rattlers would obtain home-field throughout. With a win, coupled with a San Jose loss, Chicago would lay claim to the top spot and ensure that they will not have to leave the friendly confines of AllState Arena for the rest of the season.
Fans can watch the game LIVE on WTHR-13 (NBC), with the broadcast team of Bob Papa (play-by-play), Ray Bentley (color analysis) and Marty Simon (sideline) bringing all the action from the Pepsi Center into your living room. Watch as two former Firebirds head coaches, Mike Daily and Mike Hohensee, fight to get their teams into desirable playoff position.
