Norfolk Admirals News Release
Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, agreed to terms with forward Matt McMorrow for the 2018-19 season the team announced on Tuesday.
McMorrow recently completed his senior season at Babson College (NCAA DIII) where he led the Beavers with 24 points (8g, 16a) in 27 games. The forward appeared in three games after joining the Admirals on an ATO in March.
"I learned so much during those ten days," said McMorrow. "Having them [Coach Ftorek and Sidorkiewicz] here is awesome. They have so much knowledge about the game and how to get better. I was constantly learning something in every game and practice."
The Pearl River, New York native spent four seasons at Babson, recording 55 points (17g, 38a) over the course of 101 games. During his senior season with the Beavers, McMorrow was named to the NEHC Second Team All-Conference.
"I like to think I'm a good team player and a guy who likes to move the puck," said McMorrow. "While I enjoy and think of myself as offensive, I always make sure to be accountable in my own zone."
McMorrow joins Chris Crane, Max Cook, Domenic Alberga and Roberts Locans as the forwards signed for the 2018-19 season.
Norfolk will open the 2018-19 season on October 13 at home against the Wheeling Nailers. Full and partial season tickets are now available by visiting NorfolkAdmirals.com or calling the Admirals office at (757) 640-1212.
