Growlers Unveil Jerseys

St. John's, NL - The Newfoundland Growlers unveiled the uniforms they will wear during their inaugural season in the ECHL at Harbourside Park on Tuesday.
The team unveiled both a predominantly white and a predominantly black uniform. Each of these versions feature the stoic but stern Growlers logo positioned prominently in the middle of the sweater. Both jerseys also don commemorative inaugural season patches on their shoulders. This inaugural season patch, unveiled today showcases a stylized 'G" centered within the cardinal points and features a highlighted northeastern portion, symbolizing the geographic location of Newfoundland & Labrador.
The Growlers will begin their inaugural season wearing the black jersey as their "home" sweater before switching to the white at the halfway point of the season as required by the ECHL. Jerseys are now available for preorder at shop.nlgrowlers.com.
The white jersey features the Growlers logo positioned in the middle, framed in white, with Sable Chief Black and Regiment Gold trim at the base. The arms of the sweater will utilise a black stripe near the elbow to separate the white base colour and gold found closer to the cuff. The white sweater number design will feature a forged-style font that is black with gold trim. The shoulder area features gold piping and an inaugural season patch will be placed on both shoulders. The jersey is finished with a black collar.
The black jersey also features the Growlers logo positioned in the middle with the addition of the "Newfoundland" wordmark positioned slightly above, the crest is framed in black with white and gold trim at the base. The arms of the black jersey will utilise a white stripe near the elbow to separate the black base colour and gold found closer to the cuff. The sweater will utilise the same number font, but in white with gold trim. The shoulder area will only feature the inaugural season patches with a gold collar.
The first game for the Newfoundland Growlers in their inaugural season will be October 12 when they face off against the Florida Everblades at Mile One Centre. Season Tickets are now available and can be purchased online at www.mileonecentre.com, in person at the box office or by phone at 576-7657.
