
McGuire Sets New Home Run Record for Bombers

Bryan-College Station, TX - The Bombers began their two game series tonight versus The Woodlands Strykers at Nutrabolt Stadium, with a 12-2 victory.
Tonight, Bombers were entertained with the performance of the Sweet Right Brothers presented by George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
The scoring began in the second inning when Zack McGuire starting things off with a solo homerun. The homerun set a new franchise record for most HRs McGuire tallied his seventh of the year. In the third the bats kept rolling as Alex Samples added two runs on a RBI double. He then scored on a line drive single by Zack McGuire. The fifth inning had a string of five straight hits that helped plate five runs in the inning making the score 10-0. The Bombers then added two more runs in the 6th after three straight walks loaded the bases with two outs.
Brandon Barbery started on the mound tonight and went five innings with six strikeouts to earn the win. It was a team effort to close out the game as Ryan Mose, Brady Tedesco and Joey Zurawik came in relief tonight.
