The Victoria Generals beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters, 8-2 on a Wednesday night in South Texas.
It was a scoreless contest until the bottom of the fourth when John Badgett threw a wild pitch resulting in the game's first run giving the Generals an early 1-0 lead. Chace Sarchet followed with an RBI triple to put Victoria up 2-0.
Victoria added on in the fifth with four more runs to take a commanding 6-0 lead just a little over the midway point of the contest.
Christian Caudle and Hunter Hearn each had three hits in the game for the Generals.
Trenton Buchhorn and Jaylon Keys each had RBI's in the 9th inning to try to give some momentum for the Cutters going into the series finale tomorrow night.
The Cane Cutters and Generals will conclude their series tomorrow night in Victoria. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
