McCreary returns to Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc Head Coach, Eric Soltys, announced today that defenseman, Bill McCreary, has returned to the Havoc roster for training camp.

"Billy was a last minute addition," Soltys said. "It was his personal decision to return here and when you have a chance to add a player of his caliber you take it. We will expect big things from him this season."

McCreary (5-10, 175) played in 56 games over the past two seasons in Huntsville. He scored five goals and recorded 26 assists. He left the Havoc at the end of last season and joined the New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL where Soltys was the assistant coach. He played in three regular season games with the Scorpions and recorded one assist. He also played in six playoff games and recorded four assists.

"I have a great relationship with Coach Randy Murphy in New Mexico," said Soltys. "At anytime Billy feels he wants to return there, he will have our blessing.

The Havoc opened camp this morning at the Ice Plex and will return to the ice tomorrow morning at 9:30.
