McBride Jumps to Top of Jets Scoring List

With his goal Saturday night in the Janesville Jets 6-0 victory over the Chicago Hitmen, Jets forward Connor McBride is now the leading goal scorer in Jets history with 41 goals. McBride (Hartland, WI) surpassed former Jets star Ross Mauermann who had 40 over his career.

Mauermann (Janesville, WI) is a freshman at Providence College and leads the Friars this year with 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) in 18 games.

In 33 games in the 2011-12 season, McBride has 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points, along with a +18 rating. During the 2010-11 season, Connor had 25 goals and 19 assists for 44 points in 55 games, along with a +22 rating. To date as a Jets player, McBride has 41 goals and 36 assists in 88 games with a +40 rating.

To date in the 2011-12 season, McBride is one point behind the current Jets season point leader Jordan Bancroft (Grand Forks, ND), who has 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points in 35 games.

The Janesville Jets are in first place the NAHL Midwest Division, now 5 points ahead of the St. Louis Bandits. The Jets (26-6-3) play at home again this weekend at the Janesville Ice Arena versus the Jamestown Ironmen (13-19-2). Both Friday and Saturday night games start at 7 PM with the box office opening at 5:45 PM.
