Maywood Buzz News Release

Rosemead, CA - The Maywood Buzz (5-0) knocked out the powerful Beijing Aoshen Olympians (0-1) 119-104 to stay undefeated. "I told my young guys before the game that this team has maybe lost about 10 games in 3 seasons" stated Buzz Head Coach Burrel Lee III. "They had the same team as last season missing only current Los Angeles Laker Sun Yue and we beat them" added Lee.

Being down 13pts at halftime the Buzz inserted an all guard line-up with their biggest player being 6'4 and Beijing players 6'6, 6'3, 6'11, 7'3, 6'9. The Buzz outscored them by 28pts in the 2nd half.

"My guys were so excited as they went into the locker room after the game after they realized what just happen. They knocked off the San Diego Wildcats who started the season #1 and got their 1st lost to us and Beijing Aoshen Who begun at #2 and got their 1st lost also to us" added Lee. "My guys and myself think we deserve to be the #1 ranked team in the ABA. We have knocked off San Francisco in the pre-season, SD and Beijing all who started the season 1, 2 & 3, and we haven't seen the Nashville Broncs play anyone as near strong as these teams" added Lee.

The Buzz was lead by Guards Wesley Stokes (27pts & 7ast), Ken Wright (24pts and 7ast) and Jamar Cramer (22pts and 6ast).
