December 17, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Georgia Gwizzlies News Release
Macon, GA. The ABA Georgia Gwizzlies are pleased to announce that 24-year old Greensboro NC native, 6'10 Jeremiah Tinch will be in uniform this Sunday against the Knoxville Thunderbolts. The Gwizzlies organization will start its youngest line-up ever with 19-year old 6'8 Miles Covington at center and Alabama native 20 year old 6'1 Cortez Johnson at point guard.
"We have a very young team," stated owner/coach Embry Malone. "But these kids can play and when they play with 6'4 Joe Manuel, you'll see something very good on the court Sunday and also when we play the Mike Dean led Kentucky Miners on January 4th."
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
