
Maywood Buzz 9-1 On Season After 115-111 Win Over Los Angeles Slam

Maywood, CA - The Maywood Buzz who finished the 2007-2008 season with a record of 4-27, moved to 9-1 on the 2008-2009 season with a 115-111 win over the Los Angeles Slam on Sunday night. The Buzz who found themselves down 37-17 after the first period, found their defensive groove and shut down the Slam on the offensive end while chipping away at the lead.
The Buzz was led by Issac Burton with 27pts and Wesley Stokes 23pts. The Slam was lead by Jashay Rocket with 26pts.
The Buzz will next play the Inland Empire Rage on Monday, January 19th at 4:30pm in game #2 of the 3rd Annual Buzz MLK Dream Classic. Game #1 will be at 2:00pm and will have the Inalnd Empire 5 Linx taking on the Los Angeles Slam. Both games will be played at the Maywood Activity Center.
