Mayor Walsh and Breakers Team up Again to Host Women's World Cup Viewing Party at City Hall Plaza

HANOVER, Mass. (June 23, 2015) - Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and the Boston Breakers have teamed once again up to host a Women's World Cup viewing party for the U.S. Women's National Team.

The viewing party will take place Friday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. ET at City Hall Plaza, which is located at One City Hall Square in Boston. The event is free and open to the public. The U.S. plays China Friday in the quarterfinals, looking to advance to the semifinals for the seventh straight World Cup.

More than 500 fans, including members of the Boston Breakers, descended upon City Hall Plaza Monday night to watch the U.S. beat Colombia, 2-0, in the Round of 16, setting up Friday's quarterfinal-round match.

The U.S. features Boston Breakers goalkeeper and 2014 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year Alyssa Naeher.

The Boston Breakers are one of nine teams in the National Women's Soccer League and play their home games at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium on the campus of Harvard University. To purchase tickets, call 617-945-1704 or visit www.breakerstickets.com.
