Mayor McCallion and the Majors to Honour World Junior Participants

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce that Mayor Hazel McCallion will be on hand tomorrow night to help the team honour all of the people at involved in the game who participated in the recent World Junior Hockey Championships. The list is a long one as four Majors and one member of the Belleville Bulls were at the World Juniors. Belleville also had rookie forward Brendan Gaunce, Assistant Coach Jake Grimes, and Equipment Manager, Matt Sands taking part in the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, representing Ontario.

Representing the Majors in Buffalo were team doctor, Dr. Tim Rindlisbacher, newly acquired Russian star Maxim Kitsyn, Majors Captain Casey Cizikas and General Manager/Head Coach Dave Cameron. Kitsyn won the gold medal with Team Russia, while the other four men earned a silver medal for their efforts. The Bulls were represented by their General Manager/Head Coach, George Burnett, who served as an assistant to Coach Cameron. After a brief video tribute, Mayor McCallion will take part in a special presentation on ice.
