May 31st Fireworks Show Postponed

Considering the severe dry weather conditions in the area, conversations with the Wilmington Fire Department, the burn ban in 18 coastal counties issued by the North Carolina, Forest Service, including New Hanover County's recently issued fire bans, the Wilmington Sharks have decided to postpone tonight's fireworks show. Tonight's game will still be played at its scheduled 7:05 start time against the Holly Springs Salamanders.

We have arrived at this decision in order to protect the residential and natural areas surrounding Buck Hardee Field, and we appreciate our neighbors and community for their understanding and support of our decision.

Tonight's fireworks show has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 20th , with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Tickets purchased for tonight's game can still be used for tonight's game, or fans can contact the Sharks front office to exchange their tickets for July 20th .

Following tonight's game, kids will be invited to run the bases. After the game, Sharks players will also be available for a meet and greet to take photos.

Fans attending tonight's game are still encouraged to bring in jars of peanut butter to help restock the supply of Nourish NC, lost in Hurricane Florence. The Sharks will also be wearing special "Cape Fearless" jerseys that will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM). Fans can make their bids by downloading the Livesource App.
