
Mavericks Win Six Awards at CHL Awards Banquet

Independence, Missouri - The Central Hockey League's (CHL) 18th annual Summer Conference concluded on Friday, July 19 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix with the league's awards banquet honoring the top front office executives and team achievements from the 2012-13 season. Earning more awards than any other team, the Missouri Mavericks took home six of the 16 awards announced including the CHL Franchise of the Year (third straight season the Mavs have earned the league's highest organizational honor).
This is also the third season in a row the Mavericks won Group Ticket Sales Franchise of the Year. It is the second season in a row the Mavericks won for Corporate Partnerships, Ticket Sales Franchise, and their team president, Brent Thiessen, was again named the winner of the Brad Treliving Executive of the Year. Missouri led the league with 17 sellouts during the regular season.
Additionally this year, the Mavericks' Broadcaster, Bob Rennison, was declared the Broadcaster of the Year.

The Missouri Mavericks will host their fourth annual Fan Fest on Sat., Sept. 21 at Independence Events Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Mavericks will begin their fifth season of play in the CHL in October. Season tickets are on sale now. With season tickets starting at just over $11 per game and FREE parking, the Mavericks are the pinnacle of family affordable entertainment.
