Tuesday, January 5 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, 7:05 p.m. CST

The 'Bugs and Mavericks square off for the second time in as many games Tuesday night at the IEC. Missouri scored five unanswered goals and erased a 3-0 deficit in their 5-3 victory over the Mudbugs at CenturyTel Center Saturday night. Missouri is 1-1-0 against the Mudbugs this season, and the teams will meet two more times after Tuesday night's game. The Mudbugs have made the playoffs in six straight seasons and have won the Governor's Cup (best regular-season record) in two of the past three seasons. Goaltender Ken Carroll earned an All-Star berth this seaosn and was selected to the CHL's All-Decade Team having compiled a 179-78-22 record in the past decade.
Friday, January 8 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Arizona Sundogs, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks host the Sundogs for a pair of games this weekend at Independence Events Center. It will be the first ever matchup between the teams and only two games this season as the Mavericks will not travel to Arizona. The Sundogs are currently 10-18-3 overall and in eighth place in the Southern Conference. Arizona won the President's Cup in 2008 but failed to make the playoffs last season. Arizona is led by veteran Chris Bartolone who has been with the team since its inception in 2006. Bartolone recently played in his 1,000th professional game.

Tuesday, December 29 - Missouri 5 at Mississippi 2
The Mavericks won their third straight game with a 5-2 victory over the Mississippi RiverKings at DeSoto Civic Center. The victory marked the first three-game win streak in Mavericks' history. Missouri had a three-goal first period and cruised to the 5-2 victory in which five different players scored goals. Goaltender Alexandre Vincent stopped 27 of 29 shots for his second consecutive win and fourth victory overall.
Thursday, December 31 - Missouri 1 vs. Colorado 5
The Mavericks were defeated, 5-1, by the Colorado Eagles Thursday night in front of a standing room only crowd of 5,774 fans at the IEC. Eagles' goaltender Mike Mole stopped 44 of 45 shots in the win and Ed McGrane led all scorers with a goal and two assists. The Mavericks were unable to score a power play goal despite having 14 chances and it proved to be the difference as the Mavericks held a 45-27 edge in shots. Missouri fell to 13-15-1 on the season and the loss broke the Mavericks season-long three-game win streak.
Friday, January 1 - Missouri 3 at Mississippi 4 - Overtime
Missouri came back from a two-goal third-period deficit, but ultimately lost in overtime, 4-3, to the RiverKings on Friday night. Mavericks' forward Simon Watson had a pair of goals and Nick Sirota scored with 4:21 remaining in regulation to force the game into overtime. Missouri goaltender Doug Groenestege made 40 saves, but Kevin Truelson's power play goal in overtime lifted Mississippi to the victory.
Saturday, January 2 - Missouri 5 at Bossier-Shreveport 3
The Mavericks overcame a three-goal deficit to beat the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs 5-3 Saturday night at CenturyTel Center. Missouri forward Tommy Lange had a pair of goals and Jeff MacDermid had a goal and two assists as the Mavericks scored five unanswered goals for their 14th win of the season. Missouri had five goals in the final two periods and only allowed five total shots to the Mudbugs in the final 40 minutes of play.
Notes
Halfway to Independence Day - The Mavericks game on Friday, January 8 is "Halfway to Independence Day" in which the team will have a fireworks display on the ice before the game. The Mavericks will also wear specialty camouflage jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game and proceeds from the auction will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas.
Military Discount - In honor of "Halfway to Independence Day", the Mavericks are offering military personnel $5 off any ticket (excluding End Seats) at their game on Friday, January 8. The offer is good to all current and former military personnel and there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased.
Comeback Kids - In each of their last two games, the Mavericks have erased multiple-goal deficits. Missouri earned a point in an overtime loss to Mississippi on New Year's Day after overcoming a two-goal third period deficit. Then, the Mavericks came back from three-goals down to beat Bossier-Shreveport 5-3 on Saturday night.
Two for Tuesdays - Tuesday, January 5 against the Arizona Sundogs is another Price Chopper "Two for Tuesday". Every Tuesday game throughout the regular season, fans can purchase two-for-one Terrace or Club seats by showing their Price Chopper Shopper cards. This promotion is available on day of game only and at the Box Office only. Buy one Terrace/Club seat get one free. The limit one per person per card, and is available to the first 250 fans.
Superfan is Back - On January 16, Superfan will make his return to the IEC when the Mavericks host the Mississippi RiverKings.
