Kansas City Mavericks News Release

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Missouri Mavericks announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Bryce Aneloski and signed rookie forward Dan Correale to standard player contracts for the 2016-17 season.

"It's great to have Bryce back with the Mavericks. He's a right-handed, puck-moving defenseman with some size who skates well. We expect a lot of leadership from him, as well, since this is his fourth year as a pro," said Mavericks head coach John-Scott Dickson.

Aneloski, 26, led all Mavericks blueliners last season in goals (8), points (28) and plus/minus (+24), and finished second among Missouri defensemen with 20 assists. He chipped in four power play goals and 11 power play assists over the course of the campaign, as well.

"I'm extremely thankful and blessed that the Mavericks have given me the opportunity to play here again this season. It was a process on deciding where I was going to play, but Missouri has become the premiere place to play in the ECHL and I couldn't pass up the chance to come back.

"I'm looking forward to representing the Mavericks to the best of my ability both on and off the ice this season. This city has grown a special place in my heart, and I want nothing more than to give the Mavericks and their fans what they deserve," said Aneloski

Before coming to Missouri, Aneloski logged two seasons with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears where he notched 56 points (18g, 38a) over 117 games. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Pekin, Illinois has also skated in 15 American Hockey League games between the Toronto Marlies, Iowa Wild, Providence Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Correale, 24, turns pro this season after completing a four-year collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire. A 5-foot-10, 185-pound forward, Correale is coming off of a senior season that saw him post career highs in goals (16) and points (25); totals that ranked second and fourth on the team, respectively. He totaled 64 points (27g, 37a) over 146 games with UNH.

"Dan is an exciting addition for us. He has the potential to develop into a good offensive player at this level, and he is a high-character guy with the right kind of attitude that will represent the Mavericks well.

"Dan was also one of the fastest skaters in Hockey East, so that will fit well with they style that we want to play," Dickson said.

A native of Kamloops, British Columbia, Correale was voted as an alternate captain for his senior season last year.

"I had a few really good conversations with John-Scott Dickson and talked to some friends who played for the

organization. From those talks, I came to the conclusion that Missouri would be a great place to start my career.

"I've been working out at a great facility here in Kamloops and it's been awesome in helping me prepare for the upcoming season. Coming in as a rookie, I'm looking to get to camp in the best possible shape and take it day by day from there," said Correale.
