
Matt Stefanishion Released From PTO

PEORIA, Ill. (November 22, 2009) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the club has released right wing Matt Stefanishion from his professional tryout contract.
Stefanishion, 26, appeared in Peoria's 1-0 loss to Houston on Wednesday and did not record a point. He has played in 14 games this season for the Alaska Aces, the ECHL affiliate of the Rivermen and St. Louis Blues. He has nine points (six goals, three assists) to accompany 41 penalty minutes.
Peoria will play four of their next five games on home ice, beginning on Wednesday at 7 p.m.against the Abbotsford Heat. Tickets are available for just $8 in select sections of the upper bowl for all weekday games (Mon-Thurs) for the rest of the season.
