(York, Pa.) - The Long Island Ducks shut out the York Revolution 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a four-game series at PeoplesBank Park.

Ducks starter Matt Larkins (4-1) was the story on Sunday, as the right-hander went the distance for a complete game shutout victory. He conceded just eight hits in the game, all singles, did not allow a walk and struck out six batters. The third-year Duck threw 101 pitches on the day, 76 of which were strikes, and faced the minimum three batters in six different innings. He also stranded the tying runs on base in both the sixth and ninth innings.

The only offense Long Island needed came in the first inning. Travis Snider singled to right field with two outs and the bases empty, and Taylor Ard followed with a two-out, two-strike, two-run home run over the Arch Nemesis in left for his third homer of the year.

Revolution starter Pat McCoy (0-1) suffered the hard-luck loss, yielding two runs on six hits and a walk in six innings while striking out three. Snider and Dan Lyons each had two hits to pace the Flock offensively.

The Ducks return home on Tuesday to open a three-game series with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders).
