
Matt LaGrassa Earns Budweiser Man of the Match with Parents in Stands

KENNESAW, Ga. - Matt LaGrassa struck for his second goal of the 2019 USL regular season to give Nashville Soccer Club a 2-0 win over Atlanta United 2 and earn himself Man of the Match honors.
LaGrassa scored the second goal of the match, and the only one by a Nashville SC player, to earn the honors. He took two shots from his midfield position on the evening, with one on target. He also won four duels in the match, including his only aerial dual.
The 26-year-old put in the Man of the Match performance with his parents in the stands. Mr. and Mrs. LaGrassa made a cross-country drive from Sacramento, passing through the Grand Canyon, El Paso, Austin and Memphis before arriving in Atlanta before the match.
It was Matt LaGrassa's second Man of the Match performance this season for Nashville SC.
