St. Louis CITY SC fell 3-2 to Chicago Fire FC in a back-and-forth affair on Saturday night. Chicago's Hugo Cuypers opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, putting the Fire up 1-0 at halftime. Tomáš Ostrák got CITY SC on the board two minutes into the second half, scoring his first goal of the season. Marcel Hartel followed up with his fifth goal of the season in the 59th minute, putting CITY SC ahead 2-1. Chicago responded with two unanswered goals to close out the match and secure all three points. St. Louis CITY SC will hit the road once again, traveling to Canada to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, August 23 at 8:30 p.m. CT.
