Tacoma Defiance on Wednesday returns home to continue its 2021 USL Championship campaign with the first of two fixtures this week at Cheney Stadium, facing off with Real Monarchs (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+). This marks the lone scheduled meeting of the season between the two sides.

Tacoma fell 4-2 to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC last Wednesday, ending its month-long road stretch. Defiance previously fell 3-0 at Phoenix Rising FC in triple digit heat on June 12 and 2-0 at Las Vegas Lights FC on June 5.

Prior to that, Tacoma earned a pair of home wins last month at Cheney Stadium, capping a three-match unbeaten run to start the season. On May 13, Defiance emerged victorious in a 3-1 result over San Diego Loyal SC before recording its first shutout of the season on May 16, defeating Orange County SC 1-0. Defiance opened the season on May 9 with a 1-1 road draw against LA Galaxy II.

Wade Webber's side continues its two-match week on Sunday, June 27, hosting LA Galaxy II at Cheney Stadium (1:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
