SEATTLE, WASH. - Continuing its road stint in USL regular season action, Tacoma Defiance (2-5-1, 7 points) travels to Utah for a match with Real Monarchs (1-6-1, 4 points) on Friday evening at Rio Tinto Stadium. Game notes for tomorrow's match are available, as well as a few roster updates announced this week.

Sounders FC midfielder Ethan Dobbelaere has been loaned to Tacoma for the remainder of the 2020 USL season. The Seattle native signed with the First Team as a Homegrown Player earlier this year after gaining experience in the Sounders Academy and Tacoma Defiance last season. Dobbelaere was one of three Sounders FC players to appear in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup last year, alongside Danny Leyva and Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez, who is also loaned to Defiance for the remainder of 2020.

Defiance acquired goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky on loan from Toronto FC II for the remainder of the 2020 season. Klenofsky, 25, made nine appearances and recorded three clean sheets with Toronto FC II during the 2019 USL regular season. He originally signed with Toronto FC II on March 5, 2019 after playing for Hapoel Marmorek F.C. of Liga Leumit (the Israeli second division).

Goalkeeper Christian Herrera, who was on loan with Tacoma, has been recalled by his club Oakland Roots SC. TRANSACTION: Tacoma Defiance acquires midfielder Ethan Dobbelaere on loan from Sounders FC on September 3, 2020.
