Tacoma Defiance on Saturday continues its 2021 USL Championship campaign with its second road match of the season, facing off with Las Vegas Lights FC (7:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+). This marks the first of four meetings this season between Tacoma and Las Vegas.

Ahead of Saturday's match, Defiance has agreed to USL Standard Loans with Sounders FC First Team midfielders Reed Baker-Whiting, Ethan Dobbelaere and Danny Leyva, as well as defender Abdoulaye Cissoko.

Tacoma Defiance earned a pair of home wins a few weeks back at Cheney Stadium, capping a three-match unbeaten run to start the season. On May 13, Defiance emerged victorious in a 3-1 result over San Diego Loyal SC in the home opener, thanks to goals from Carlos Anguiano, Alec Díaz and Danny Robles. The club recorded its first shutout of the season on May 16, defeating Orange County SC 1-0 on a goal from Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez. Defiance opened the season on May 9 with a 1-1 road draw against LA Galaxy II. Cissoko converted a penalty kick at the death to even the score right before the final whistle.

Defiance was scheduled to face Austin Bold FC last Sunday, May 30 but the match was postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m. PT at Bold Stadium (ESPN+).
