Tacoma Defiance on Saturday hits the road to continue its 2021 USL Championship campaign with the first of a four-match road stretch, facing off with Las Vegas Lights FC at Cashman Field (7:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+). This marks the second of four scheduled meetings of the season between the two sides, after Lights FC earned a 2-0 home win on June 5.

Defiance returned to Cheney Stadium for the first time in over a month last week, earning a 1-1 draw against Real Monarchs thanks to a late goal from Samuel Adeniran on June 23, then a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy II featuring a brace from Ray Serrano on June 27.

Tacoma suffered a three-match losing streak during its road stretch earlier last month, falling to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Phoenix Rising FC and Las Vegas.

Prior to that, Tacoma earned a pair of home wins last month at Cheney Stadium, capping a three-match unbeaten run to start the season. On May 13, Defiance emerged victorious in a 3-1 result over San Diego Loyal SC before recording its first shutout of the season on May 16, defeating Orange County SC 1-0.
