Sacramento Republic FC (7-4-2) hosts Arizona United SC (4-6-3) on Thursday, June 26 at Bonney Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PST.
The match will be Republic FC's third matchup versus Arizona United SC this season. Arizona won the first matchup 2-1 on April 19, but in the last match on June 7, forward Chad Bartlome headed home an equalizer late in stoppage time to give Republic FC the draw.
Republic FC enters the match following a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rapids Reserves in the inaugural match at Bonney Field on Friday, June 20. The match was the highest combined scoring match for Republic FC this season.
Midfielder Rodrigo Lopez was named USL PRO Player of the Week after scoring two goals and recording an assist against the Rapids Reserves. Lopez has scored four goals and recorded four assists in USL PRO play this season. His 12 points leads Republic FC and he is second in USL PRO for assists.
Forward Justin Braun has also been in form lately scoring three goals in his last four appearances including the first Republic FC goal in Bonney Field history. Braun is tied for most goals overall with Lopez and forward Thomas Stewart with five goals.
Arizona United SC comes in to the match after three straight home matches. Arizona went 1-1-1 in those matches, including a victory over the Rochester Rhinos and a draw with LA Galaxy II.
Arizona is lead by defenders Scott Morrison and London Woodberry. Morrison scored the equalizer against LA Galaxy II while Woodberry scored Arizona's lone goal against Republic FC in their last match.
The match will be streamed live at SacRepublicFC.com/matchday. Updates of the match will also be provided via Twitter @SacRepublicFC and by using #SRFCvAZU. There will be no radio broadcast of the match due to other programing.
