The Foxes will play their third game in seven days, this one taking place in Herriman, Utah, where they'll try and topple the USL's top team on their home turf. Fresno FC and Real Monarchs will kickoff Saturday, May 12th at 12 p.m. PT
MATCH PREVIEW
Fresno FC travels to Herriman, Utah, where the Foxes will play against Western Conference frontrunner Real Monarchs SLC in Week 9 of the USL Regular Season.
While it is the first-ever regular season meeting between the two clubs, the two clashed in the preseason with the Foxes coming away with a 3-2 win in Davis, California by way of Terran Campbell's game-winner in the 89th minute.
The Foxes have drawn in five of their last six matches and sit in 10th place in the 17-team Western Conference with 12 points. Meanwhile, Real Monarchs are enjoying the spoils at the top of the table with a 6-1-1 record for 19 points. Real Monarchs is unbeaten in its last three matches, having won its previous two matches - a 2-1 victory against Orange County SC and a 4-1 thrashing of 2017 USL Cup runner-up Swope Park Rangers. Real Monarchs are the defending USL regular season champions, but suffered an early exit in the first round of playoffs. Real Monarchs are tied with Phoenix Rising FC with most goals scored this season at 17.
