Fresno FC News Release

FRESNO - Fresno Football Club doesn't just want to score goals on the pitch, but also in the community. That's why exactly two months from the club's professional debut in the United Soccer League, on Thursday, May 17th, 2018, players, coaches, front office staff and media partners will come together for the greater good of the San Joaquin Valley community and volunteer on the first-ever "Built For Fresno" Day.

"The Fresno community and the San Joaquin Valley has welcomed Fresno FC with open arms and we want to show our appreciation and gratitude with our own day of service. This community is going to be our forever home, and what better way to start that relationship with Built For Fresno Day on May 17th to return the love our fans give every game," said general manager Frank Yallop.

As part of the "Built For Fresno" day of service, the Foxes and friends from the club's community partners will volunteer at three locations: the Community Food Bank, Terry's House at Community Regional Medical Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Fresno County. In the morning, volunteers will sort food at the Community Food Bank, an organization that feeds more than 280,000 individuals across the Central Valley each month. At Terry's House, the hospitality home of Community Regional Medical Center, the Foxes will help beautify the property and clean the facility to help prepare it for visiting families. After the cleanup, the Foxes will visit the hospital to deliver surprise bags to staff and patients. In the afternoon, Fresno FC will help brighten the Boys & Girls Club Zimmerman Clubhouse and West Fresno Clubhouse, by painting the inside play rooms, hallways, and freshening up the spaces the children use every day. After the labor, the Foxes will help the little ones with their homework and challenge them to some soccer skills on the playground.

"The organizations we'll be volunteering with do vital work in our community every day and we're appreciative of their efforts. Fresno FC's aim is to ensure we're right alongside that work, creating a positive impact for all who call the Central Valley home," Yallop said.
