August 29, 2014 - North American Soccer League (NASL)
North Carolina FC News Release
CARY, NC (August 29, 2014) - The Carolina RailHawks (3W-0T-5L, 9pts) return to NASL action on Saturday August 30th to take on southern rival, Atlanta Silverbacks (2W-2T-3L, 8pts) at WakeMed Soccer Park. Saturday's match-up is schedule to kick-off at 7:30pm and will be featured as the NASL Match of the Week on ESPN3.
The RailHawks currently sit in fourth place in the NASL Combined Standings after winning three of their last five games. The top four teams qualify to the Championship (the league's four-team post-season tournament). The RailHawks most recent victory was this past weekend in Florida when they defeated the Tampa Bay Rowdies 1-0.
Since the inception of the modern NASL, the RailHawks are 9W-3D-1L against the Silverbacks and 5W-2D-0L at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Meanwhile, the Silverbacks, who trail the RailHawks by five points in the Combined Standings, failed to make ground in the race for The Championship last week as they felt to the San Antonio Scorpions 2-1 in Texas.
Tickets for Saturday's match are still available, and can be purchased online at www.CarolinaRailHawks.com or through the Johnson Maserati Box Office at 919-459-8144.

Coaches Quote:
"Saturday's game is really important for us - we need to get back to winning at home. Every week there is one less game and points are very important. We got a great result in Tampa Bay last week, and we need to back that up with three points at home."- Colin Clarke.
