It will be the 17th time that these two teams will battle for the cup with D.C. taking it home 10 times, while the Red Bulls have won six times, including five of the last eight. The rivalry will be played in just the fourth different venue, having been played at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium, Giants Stadium and Red Bull Arena.
Luis Robles tallied his 55th career clean sheet on Saturday against the New England Revolution. Robles needed just one save to move within one shutout of cracking MLS' top-ten all-time shutout list.
