July 19, 2018 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (11-5-2, 35 pts) and the New England Revolution (7-6-7, 28 pts) complete their 2018 home-and-home on Saturday, presented by Verizon, at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 6 p.m. ET with Honda Countdown to Kickoff, brought to you by your local Honda dealers, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play broadcast, beginning at 7 p.m.
New York and New England will clash for the 72nd time in league play on Saturday at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls are unbeaten against the Revolution at Red Bull Arena, winning the last four matches and unbeaten in nine games (8-0-1). In the previous nine matches at RBA, New York has outscored New England, 20-7 with three clean sheets. The last time the Red Bulls fell to the Revolution at home was on July 14, 2007 at Giants Stadium.
Red Bulls midfielder Marc Rzatkowski made an immediate impact on the field against Sporting Kansas City last Saturday, subbing on in the 60th minute and scoring the equalizer and game-winning goal in a six-minute span (72' & 78'). Rzatkowski became the third New York player to record a brace in league play this season as Bradley Wright-Phillips has done it twice and Carlos Rivas added one in the season opener. Rzatkowski has tallied two goals and three assists in 10 appearances in MLS play.
Wright-Phillips added another goal to his name last Saturday against Sporting Kansas City to raise his career league total to 98. The English striker is also approaching another milestone as he inches closer to 200 goals across all competitions in both the U.S. and England. Wright-Phillips currently sits at 196 goals that has encompassed six different clubs and eight different competitions.
New York hits the road for just their second mid-week matchup on Wednesday, July 25 as they face Atlantic Cup rival D.C. United at Audi Field. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
