FRESNO, Calif. - Following a shutout match (1-0) against Forward Madison SC at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wisconsin on April 30, Fuego FC (2-1-1, 5th) will play their inaugural season home opener against Greenville Triumph SC (1-1-2, 9th) at Fresno State Stadium on May 7 at 7:30 PM PST. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Saturday's match will mark the second time these two USL League One team's face each other for the 2022 season. On April 2, Fuego FC traveled to South Carolina and beat the opposing team 2-0 resulting in the club's first win in history. After the match, two Fuego FC players were recognized as Team of the Week for Week 1. Forward Christian Chaney had a brace in the 58th and 68th minute. Center Midfielder Victor Falck, recorded 75% of passing accuracy, won 80% of duels, created two opportunities and one assist.
