ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Sunday when it travels to face Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium. The match is set to kick-off at 1:30 p.m. EST and will be nationally broadcast on ABC/ESPN Deportes.

Atlanta defeated Charlotte 2-1 on March 13 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Jake Mulraney scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute, his first goal of the season.

Atlanta is coming off a 1-0 win on the road at D.C. United on April 2. Marcelino Moreno scored his first goal of the season in stoppage time to secure Atlanta's first away win of 2022. Moreno was named to the MLS Team of the Week.

Atlanta has scored a stoppage time goal in three consecutive matches, the longest such streak in club history, and taken a combined seven points.

The team recorded its first clean sheet of 2022 in the win at D.C. United. Since 2019, Brad Guzan leads MLS with 33 clean sheets, five ahead of Philadelphia's Andre Blake with 28.

Charlotte fell 2-0 at Philadelphia Union on April 2 after consecutive home wins against New England Revolution and FC Cincinnati. Charlotte is 2-1-0 at Bank of America Stadium this season. Designated Player Karol Swiderski leads Charlotte with four goals and Ben Bender, the top pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft, leads the team with three assists.
