Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC (2-2-2, 8 points) returns to Exploria Stadium this weekend, set to take on Chicago Fire FC (2-0-3, 9 points) on Saturday, April 9. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
The match, presented by Dex Imaging, will be nationally televised on Univision and TUDN, while being transmitted on Real Radio 104.1 in English and Acción 97.9 FM in Spanish. Tickets can be found here or by calling (855) ORL-CITY.
"Our routine hasn't changed much. We're thinking about this next game against a rival that we've already played at their place and we had a positive performance and certainly a good result," Head Coach Oscar Pareja said. "Now, we're trying to bounce back in terms of the results, but with the idea of keeping our consistency with some of the things that we showed in the last game."
Saturday will see the Lions' face off against the Fire for the second time this campaign after battling to a scoreless draw on March 5 at Soldier Field. The last time the Fire visited downtown Orlando came in August of last year, with the Lions taking a 1-0 shutout victory behind a game-winner from Benji Michel.
City enters the weekend looking to bounce back from last week's defeat 4-2 at the hands of LAFC. Alexandre Pato and João Moutinho each scored for the Lions, with Mauricio Pereyra matching the Club-assist record across all competitions on the night with a pair of helpers to tie Nani's mark at 26 assists.
Júnior Urso and Pato share the lead in goals scored this season with two apiece. Pereyra leads the team in assists with three, followed by Urso and Ercan Kara each with two.
Chicago comes into Saturday's match following a scoreless draw with FC Dallas last Saturday. Goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina had to register just one save to keep Dallas scoreless in the match.
Kacper Przybylko leads Chicago with two goals on the season, while Xherdan Shaqiri leads the side in assists with two.
Following Saturday's match, the Lions will head to Lower.com Field to face the Columbus Crew on Saturday, April 16. Kickoff for that match is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be locally telecast on FOX35 PLUS.
