Match Notes: Atlético Ottawa V Forge FC Oct 3
October 3, 2021 - Canadian Premier League (CPL)
Atletico Ottawa News Release
Atlético Ottawa takes to the TD Place pitch once more this Sunday, October 3 (KO 3:30PM ET, live on OneSoccer and TSN 1200) as it hosts Forge FC for the fourth of five matchups this season and the ComeOn! match of the week.
MATCH NOTES
Atlético Ottawa has had trouble finding solutions against Forge FC so far this season, despite offering solid performances (0W-0D-3L). The first order of business for the Atléti will be to find the back of the net, having yet to score against Forge FC.
Malcolm Shaw still leads the club with 8 goals this season, followed by Brian Wright who now has 4.
If some pundits would argue that Atlético Ottawa has had trouble scoring goals in general, one could argue that their opponent, Forge FC, has only scored 2 more than they have over the season so far (Ottawa 21 to Forge FC 23). Forge has, however, conceded less than half the number of goals the Atléti has (Forge averages 0.89 GCM to Ottawa's 1.71).
OUT: Brandon John (injury, season); Victor Martinez (injury, game to game).
Atlético Ottawa has only 3 home matches left in the 2021 campaign, including this one against Forge FC.
This Sunday's match is a 5$-night affair, with in-stadium promotions including 5$ kids tickets, hot dogs, mini poutine, beer and a mystery merch bag.
