Langley, BC - Vancouver FC will take on Forge FC for the final time in the 2023 season on Sunday.

MATCH STORYLINES:

Winning at Willoughby: VFC will play their final regular season match against FOR to complete their first series against a CPL opponent. VFC is currently 1-1-1 in three games played against FOR, having the best goal differential (0) and tied with PAC for the most points against any opponent. VFC also registered the franchise's first home victory the last time FOR visited Willoughby Park.

Scoring Streaks: Gabriel Bitar scored his third goal in two matches in the 2-1 loss to YOR. Bitar is only the third VFC player (fourth instance) to register at least one goal in two or more consecutive matches. He ties Wero Díaz (2 consecutive matches from July 16 to July 22) and trails Shaan Hundal (2 consecutive matches from June 2 to June 11 and 3 consecutive matches from April 22 to May 7). Bitar is now only one goal away from tying his CPL career high of five goals in one season set in 2022.

Taking on Tackles: Min-jae Kwak currently leads the CPL in tackles won with 44 with the next closest player, M. Acosta, sitting six tackles back. Kwak also holds the highest percentage of tackles won (min. 50 tackles) with a 76% win rate.
